Are you READI for Distance Learning?

Distance learning is a new concept for many returning students. Previously, adult learners spent time in a classroom with an instructor, a chalk or white board, and a textbook. Many of the same types of experiences happen in the distance classroom but with more responsibility being placed on the distance learner.

Are you ready for the distance learning experience? MSU is now providing access to a Readiness for Education at a Distance Indicator to current and potential online learners. This web-based tool assesses a learner’s likelihood for success in the online learning environment by “testing” areas such as self motivation, time management skills, self discipline, reading comprehension, persistence, availability of time, ability to use a laptop, printer, software and the Internet, and typing speed and accuracy.

There is no cost for participation and individual results are sent directly to the participant. A sample of the results you will receive can be viewed here (pdf).
