The Department of Food Science, Nutrition, and Health Promotion offers a master’s degree with an emphasis in health education/health promotion, through distance learning at the Center for Distance Education at Mississippi State University.

This degree is designed for professionals interested in enhancing their skills in design, implementation, and evaluation of disease prevention and health promotion programs.

Students may begin taking courses at the start of any semester. Fall semester courses begin in mid-August and end in December. Spring semester courses are from mid-January to May. Summer courses are offered from June through July.
