Structure of Program
The Broadcast Meteorology Program offers 52 credit hours which lead to a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology. It also provides the education needed for the NWA Seal of Approval. Credits may also be applied towards a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University which requires 124 credit hours. These credit hours may be earned by completing all 17 BMP courses (52 credit hours) and satisfying all general education requirements. A minimum of 2.0 grade point average is also required. Some general education course work may require transfer work. Courses available to meet general education requirements can be located at http://www.distance.msstate.edu/geosciences/BMP/transfer.html. Please contact Mary Ann Dean, email@example.com, for more information.
All courses are offered on the semester system. The Fall semester is from mid August to early December. The Spring semester is from early January to early May, and the Summer semester is from early June to early August. Courses are only offered at specified times. For example, a new student beginning the program may only begin in the fall semester by taking one or both courses offered.
Listed below is the course schedule for the BMP. The courses are offered only during the semester under which they are listed.

All course materials such as exercises, assignments, study guides, exams, and lectures will be delivered via the Internet using MyCourses.
