The Academic Resource Center has been designed for all students enrolled in the Elementary Education Distance Learning Program. This Center was made possible by a grant from the BellSouth Foundation during the 2002 - 2003 academic year procured by the Division of Academic Outreach & Continuing Education. The purpose of the Center is to create an environment where distance learners can "come together" and share resources, information, and ideas.

Although resources already exist within the Center, the true spirit of the endeavor is for students to become active partners in its development. Students are encouraged to post discussions, journal articles, web sites, and other resources that they believe can improve the quality of education for everyone. Sharing resources and participating in open communication enable distance learners to identify with a "home base" and, at the same time, enjoy a rewarding educational experience.

To access the Resource Center, please do the following:

  • Visit http://webct.msstate.edu and select the "External WebCT" link.
  • Login with your NetID and NetPassword - A quick visit to Banner Web can help you with your NetID and NetPassword.
  • Once logged on to the "External WebCT", select the "Elementary Education Resource Center" link on your MyWebCT page.
  • Finally, enjoy all that the Resource Center has to offer.
