Undergraduate Courses | Graduate Courses

If you are a main campus student, you are welcome to enroll in distance learning courses; however, additional tuition and distance fees will be assessed to your student account.

Distance fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

To view all available distance courses, please visit the Master Course Schedule. On the Campus drop down box, please select Distance Education.

 

Student Agreement

In order to provide students with the best services available and to assist them in meeting their academic goals in a timely manner, it is imperative that the student become an active participant in his or her own education, especially since direct access to campus is not an option in many cases.

  • All Undergraduate Main Campus Students enrolled in distance learning courses will be charged additional tuition if they are enrolled in more than 12 hours in a single semester, including combined summer terms.
  • All Graduate Main Campus Students enrolled in distance learning courses will be charged additional tuition if they are enrolled in more than 9 hours in a single semester, including combined summer terms.

The following agreement refers to the responsibilities of students who enroll in courses and programs through the Division of Academic Outreach & Continuing Education at Mississippi State University:

  • Be familiar with admission and registration procedures,
  • Be familiar with add/drop and withdrawal and refund policies,
  • Access and update student information on Banner Web,
  • Access and navigate the distance learning website for course information,
  • Receive academic advising prior to enrollment,
  • Identify the appropriate staff member for course(s) taken,
  • Present yourself in a professional manner,
  • Adhere to the highest personal standards of academic integrity, and
  • Adhere to all academic honesty and conduct polices and procedures of Mississippi State University (refer to http://www.msstate.edu/dept/audit/PDF/1207a.pdf).

Online Courses

All online classes are located at http://myCourses.msstate.edu and require your Net-ID and Net-Password for log-in. Start and end dates of online distance learning courses follow the Semester Calendar: http://www.msstate.edu/dept/registrar/calendar/calendarindex.php

Official Correspondence: Email

Mississippi State University uses email as its official means of communication with all MSU students. As a result, every student has been given a new official email address.

In order to access and receive official University correspondence, you must activate your email account: http://www.its.msstate.edu/Services/Accounts/Create/student_email.php

You will not be able to read and/or receive any official University email correspondence, including from your instructors without activating your official University email account.
